The Ring of Hope: |
This fund helps patients, often children, by treating life threatening cancers like retinoblastoma. For those patients who cannot afford treatment, Aravind’s services, as well as those of other local specialists, are offered free. However, the chemotherapy and blood replacement costs are substantial. Through your donations, the Ring of Hope Fund helps complete this circle of care. Learn more about Ring of Hope Fund. |

Advanced Eye Care: |
All of Aravind’s hospitals have full fledged sub-specialties for providing advanced care. However, unlike cataract, the cost of providing advanced surgical care for Vitreo Retinal disorders, Ocular Oncology, Pediatric Ophthalmology, etc are substantial. Donations received to this fund will enable poor patients to access surgery care at sub-specialties. |

Spectacles for School Children: |
The incidence of refractive errors in School going children is approx. 5%. Today in the rural parts of southern India, only 7% to 8% of the children having refractive errors are using spectacles. This is mainly due to no access to eye care in the villages. Aravind’s Vision Centers are conducting school screenings and perform vision check-ups in schools free of cost. Aravind is looking for partners who will sponsor eye glasses free of cost to the needy children. Average cost of spectacles to Aravind is $5. Your small donation can help these children excel in school and arrest refractive errors at an early stage. |

Food for Sight: |
At Aravind’s free hospitals, over 8,000 to 10,000 patients undergo cataract operations every month. The surgery, medicines and accommodation are provided free of cost. Most of the patients are unable to afford their food expense during their three-day stay in the hospital. A donation of $5.00 will help pay for the travel and food for a single patient for the entire stay. |
